Creating the Scholarship
We are proud to announce the creation of The Brian Kajiyama Heart of a Warrior Scholarship. This project has been eight years in the making and is intended to aid in the continuation of post-secondary education for students in Hawai'i who have overcome great personal challenges to succeed academically, athletically, or socially. Coach Jones looked past Brian's disability and saw his abilities. Brian was a part of Manoa's"football ohana" and a daily reminder of what a positive attitude can accomplish, the power of belief, and an example of true toughness. This scholarship honors Brian's true Warrior spirit and ensures his inspirational story will continue to be heard while providing Hawai'i's aspiring youth with the helping hand they deserve.
